Nasr School celebrates sports day in style

HYDERABAD: Nasr School celebrated the 44th sports day on October 31, presided over by P.S. Shastry, a parent of the sports captain.

A march-past led by different house captains preceded the lighting of the torch by sports captain Rashmi Shastry. Students performed drills on the occasion. Karate demonstration and synchronised skating enthralled the audience.

The school’s basket ball team got special accolades for its representation of the school at national level. Prizes were given away to individual and team performers.

St.Martin’s High School

St. Martin’s High School at Chintal hosted the annual mandal-level Science Fair on October 20. K. Srisailam Goud, the legislator from Qutbullahpur constituency attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the fair. Topics in the fair included Biology in Human Welfare, Mathematics in daily life, Science and Technology in Games and Sports, Green Energy, Climatic Changes and Information and Communication Technologies. Students participated enthusiastically and responded to queries by judges and visitors. Prizes were given away to the participants in the evening.

Nandini High School

Students from primary sections of Nandini High School, Abids, celebrated ‘Uncles and Aunts Day’ recently. The celebrations were part of the family-bonding month, and students were taught about the importance of family relationships. Children donned the roles of their favourite uncles and aunts and even dressed like them. Raj Verma and Meghana won first prizes for the best enactment.
