COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore District Small Industries’ Association has welcomed the decision of the State Government on Monday to hold the World Classical Tamil Meet at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex here in June next year. Welcoming the decision, Association president K. Ilango said, “We are happy that the Government has recognised the world-class infrastructure we have.” The association would co-operate with the Government and complete the minor works needed at the complex. The Southern India Engineering Manufacturers’ Association president, Jayakumar Ramdass, has welcomed the Government’s decision to hold the conference at the CODISSIA Trade Fair complex. He said the infrastructure works would boost the industrial growth of Coimbatore.
