KOLKATA: Defending swimming champion Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will be renewing the rivalry in the all-India police aquatic and cross-country championship, that gets underway at the Subhas Sarovar here on Tuesday. BSF, which dominated the swimming events in the last championship held at Thiruvananthapuram, is expected to receive tough challenge from CRPF, which finished runner-up last year. National record-holder in long distance events, Mandar A. Divase and last year’s individual champion Arjun Muralidharan will be leading the challenge for BSF in the swimming section. Central Industrial Security Force will be the other side to look for in the swimming section. On the other hand CRPF will be depending on the excellence of breaststroke specialist Rohit Kumar. CRPF will be the force to beat in water polo and diving, where it dominated in the last meet. — Principal Correspondent
