Residents block road demanding better infrastructure

KOLAR: Under the banner of Palasandra Layout Nagarika Hitarakshana Vedike, the residents of ward no: 7 staged a road blockade on Kolar-Srinivaspur Road on Monday. They urging the authorities to provide various infrastructure facilities, including good roads in the area.
Traffic was hit for about an hour in the area.
Following an assurance by City Municipal Council Commissioner (CMC) Ramachandra, the protesters withdrew the stir.
Progress
“The tender process is on for several works including road construction in Palasandra Layout,” Mr. Ramachandra said.
Palasandra Layout Nagarika Hitarakshana Vedike leaders Krishna Reddy, K.S. Chandrashekhar and others led the stir on Monday.
