Script for tribal tongue unveiled

VISAKHAPATNAM: Union Minister of State for HRD D. Purandeswari and Tribal Welfare Minister P. Balaraju released the script CD for Kupia language (of Valmiki tribe) and a sheet printed with the new alphabets at a function in Andhra University on Monday. Head of the Department of English S. Prasanna Sree took 16 years to decipher the script. It has 54 alphabets, with 16 vowels and 38 consonants.
