No cheating case against SBI, clarifies SI

KADAPA: Kamalapuram sub-inspector N. Prabhakar on Monday refuted the report that three farmers filed a cheating case in Kamalapuram magistrate court against the State Bank of India officials, Kamalapuram sub-registrar, himself and others.

The SI told The Hindu that he had investigated into a case filed in Kamalapuram police station earlier by the complainants - R. Rami Reddy, K. Pulla Reddy and C. Gopal Reddy - against some persons and the case of a civil matter was referred.

Notwithstanding it, they moved the High Court and then the local court.

The complainants filed a case in Kamalapuram court, but the court returned the petition, the SI explained.

Mr. Prabhakar clarified that there was no cheating case against the State Bank of India Regional Manager N. Bhupal, Kamalapuram branch manager C. Ravi Kumar, Kamalapuram SI N. Prabhakar, Kamalapuram sub-registrar and others.
