PERAMBALUR: Realising the importance of books as a treasurehouse of knowledge, the need for making the most of libraries was underlined by the Collector M. Vijayakumar. Speaking after declaring open a new building of the Government branch library at Siruvachur near here on Monday, the Collector said that apart from school students, the members of the public should also utilise this branch library which accounted for over 17,000 volumes on various titles. Later, the Collector honoured the patrons of the library in recognition of their contribution to the growth of library movement in and around Siruvachur. The District Library Officer Srinivasan spoke.
