KANNUR: A 60-year-old man was found murdered near Malur here on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Katten Raju, an announcer at the bus stand at Malur. He was said to be a Communist Party of India (Marxist) sympathiser. According to the police, his body was found with deep stab injuries in his neck. He was abducted by a group of assailants in a car from near his house at Thrikkadaripoil in the morning, the police said. The police said that two persons had been nabbed near Mananthavady in Wayanad district in connection with the murder. The police also seized a car allegedly used by the assailants.
