DINDIGUL: The Commercial Crime Investigation Wing police arrested Raja, former secretary of Vada Kavunji Cooperative Society in Kodaikanal, here on Monday on the charges of misappropriation of funds to the tune of Rs.3.29 lakh and financial malpractices during his tenure between 2004 and 2008. The police said he had misappropriated funds while disbursing salaries and festival advances to the society employees. He was produced before the court and was remanded to judicial custody. Later, he was lodged in Madurai prison.
