Awards presented to film, TV artistes

CHENNAI: The Film Fans’ Association on Sunday honoured several artistes and technicians in recognition of their success in films and TV programmes. As part of the 58th annual awards ceremony, senior cine actress G. Jayachitra presented the ‘Cine Bests of 2008’ awards. The best director award was bagged by K.S. Ravikumar for the movie ‘Dasavatharam,’ the best actor award went to Vinay (‘Jayam Kondan’) and the supporting actor award to Pasupathy (‘Kuselan’). Industrialist Nalli Kuppuswami Chetty received the ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award. Hereleased a souvenir that was received by Ms. Jayachitra. The ‘Ninth annual TV award of 2008’ was presented to Chethan of Athipookkal and to several others.
