House burgled

CHENNAI: Cash and gold jewellery were stolen from a house in Kodungaiyur on Saturday night.

According to police sources, the incident occurred at the house of Emmanuel (35) of Teacher’s Colony, after he and his wife went out on Saturday evening. On their return on Sunday morning, they found the front door lock broken. Jewellery weighing 1.5 sovereign and a sum of Rs.35,000 kept inside an almirah were missing.
