Two killed in accidents

VISAKHAPATNAM: Two persons died in accidents in the city on Sunday. A 34-year-old pregnant woman was killed at TB Hospital Junction on Sunday afternoon. Police said Elamanchili Vijayalakshmi of Chaitanyanagar was coming from Maddilapalem direction and stopped for the signal to turn green. As she moved on an oil tanker hit her. A grievously injured Vijayalakshmi was rushed to a private hospital near Rama Talkies where she died. Her husband is working in the US, it is learnt. Sub-inspector Eswara Rao is investigating.

In another accident near Natayyapalem, a steel plant employee, D. Srinivasa Rao, 43, while driving a motorcycle came under the wheels of a lorry in the evening and died on the spot, the Gajuwaka police said.
