Wanted man booked under MCOCA
NEW DELHI: A 47-year-old man has been arrested for alleged involvement in several cases of cheating.
The accused, Judge Chawla, has been booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act.
Chawla was arrested by the Central Delhi police outside his residence in Rajendra Nagar over the weekend. He is allegedly involved in 13 cases of duping people by selling to them properties using forged documents.
He was also wanted in connection with the murder of a senior citizen, S. S. Marwah, who was allegedly killed by his daughter Niti along with her male accomplice in 2006. Chawla has allegedly helped the accused prepare forged documents of Mr. Marwah’s property and dispose it of.
