Rajasthan Day on Nov. 18 at Trade Fair

Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Day will be celebrated on November 18 at the 29th India International Trade Fair being organised at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from November 14 to 27. Colourful presentations by folk artistes from the desert State at the Lal Chowk theatre will mark the day.

The Rajasthan Pavilion being set up at the IITF venue will display a combination of the rich cultural heritage and modern trends in the State. The nodal agency responsible for installing the pavilion in this year’s event is the Rajasthan State Small Industries Corporation.

According to the Corporation’s Chairman and Managing Director, Manohar Kant Kalohiya, the pavilion would have a “Shilp Aangan” (craft court) for the first time for live demonstration of the works of master craftsmen from the State. The pavilion is being decorated on the IITF’s theme of “export of services” this year. Mr. Kalohiya said the pavilion would showcase the gems and jewellery, handicrafts, Ayurveda and yoga facilities and the BPO call centres of multinational companies in and around the State Capital. The exhibitions of various departments will be an added attraction.
