Ferro alloy unit planned at Bobbili

HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Steel A. Sai Pratap has requested Chief Minister K. Rosaiah to lay the foundation stone for a ferro alloy unit being set up by the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) at Bobbili in Vizianagaram district.

Rs. 200 crore

Being set up in association with the Manganese Ore (India) Limited, the ferro alloy unit involves an initial capital outlay of Rs. 200 crore. The unit is projected to provide employment to local youth besides boosting ancillary industry in the area.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister asserted his government’s commitment to adopt a multi-pronged approach to promote industry and attracting investments in the State.

He wanted Major Industries Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana to be in constant touch with the prospective investors explaining to them the highlights of the industrial promotion policy of the State as well as the concessions including the competitive power tariff offered by the government.
