New impetus to Kannada programmes
BANGALORE: The Bangalore Doordarshan Kendra will telecast more number of quality Kannada programmes on priority in the coming days, kendra’s Senior Director Mahesh Joshi has said. He was speaking at the silver jubilee celebrations of the Kannada Vedike here on Sunday. The kendra would give a new impetus to Kannada programmes. Vedike’s president Prabhakar Reddy spoke about the activities of the vedike for the cause of Kannada. The former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore D. Javare Gowda and the former Chairman of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce H.D. Gangaraj were among those felicitated. — Special Correspondent
