Udhagamandalam: The state executive committee of the INTUC which met here on Sunday resolved to urge the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board to hike the wages of its employees. The hike should not be less than 40 per cent and it should be granted with retrospective effect from December 2007. By another resolution the government was urged to take appropriate steps to revive the ailing Hindustan Photo Films. The meeting authorised the Nilgiris district president of the INTUC Manjai V.Mohan to take steps to establish a training unit of the organisation here. Representatives of the INTUC should be made part of various welfare boards. State president of INTUC G. Kalan presided.
