WARANGAL: Speakers at a seminar on the Domestic Violence Act 2005 stressed the need for creating awareness among the targeted sections of the society. The seminar was organised by the Parcha Ranga Rao Memorical Charitable Trust as part of community services at Pingali Government College for Women. Trust secretary P. Kodandarama Rao welcomed the guests and listed out the objectives of the trust and owed to undertake more such programmes in the district. Participating as chief guest M. Sridhar of NALSAR said the legislations are not serving the purpose due to low literacy and lack of awareness among people. SP Shah Nawaz Qasim, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Secretary Sk Razak, college principal P.V. Prasada Rao and others were present.
