Beneficiaries to be photographed

MADURAI: Beneficiaries of Chief Minister’s health insurance scheme for life saving treatments will be photographed from Sunday for the purpose of issuing identity cards.

According to a press release from Corporation Commissioner S. Sebastine, beneficiaries residing in Ward 1 to 21 will be photographed at designated centres between November 8 and 15 from 8 a.m. on all days. Beneficiaries should bring a proof of identity (family card or membership card of any welfare board) to be photographed.

Arrangements had been made to issue income certificate at the designated centres.

Members of welfare boards and those with an annual income of below Rs. 72, 000 are eligible to become members of the scheme. They can avail themselves of treatment for up to Rs. one lakh for 51 listed ailments in 485 designated hospitals, according to the press release.
