Higher aid sought

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP has sought an assistance of Rs.5 lakh each to the families of the four children who drowned in Eruthumkadavu in Kasaragod recently. Party spokesman M.S. Kumar said here on Saturday that a higher assistance for the families of the victims of the Areekode and Amboori mishaps would not have been considered excessive. But a similar assistance should be given to the victims of the Eruthumkadavu accident.
