Malappuram: Union Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran on Saturday came out in support of K. Muraleedharan’s return to the party fold. The latter was expelled (from the party) in May 2005. “I personally feel that Muraleedharan should be taken back, asking him to abide by party guidelines and discipline,” Mr. Ramachandran said after visiting the State Haj camp, near the Karipur airport. Mr. Muraleedharan had floated the Democratic Indira Congress (DIC) which later merged with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). — PTI
