Work in coordination with border police: Srikakulam SP

SRIKAKULAM: Superintendent of Police M. Naganna instructed officials to act in coordination with Orissa border police to counter the activities of Maoists. Speaking at a meeting to review monthly performance, the SP said that Maoists were forming into companies for carrying out attacks and steps were initiated to counter such attacks affectively.

He said that online method of registering FIRs gave good results. The SP pointed out the decreasing rate of crime in the district and wanted ‘visible policing’ method to be followed. Dr .Naganna wanted steps to increase recovery cases which was only 27 per cent in Srikakulam circle. The SP also pointed out the increasing number of non-bailable warrants and wanted special teams to be formed to serve them. T.P.Reddy, T.Mohana Rao, B.D.V.Sagar, all DSPs, .CIs and SIs attended the meeting.
