Rajahmundry
Rajahmundry: K. Aravinda Rao, Director General of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has firmly said that his department is going to concentrate mainly on Police, Irrigation and Endowments this time, apart from Excise, RTO, Irrigation and Commercial Taxes where allegations of rampant corruption are coming from public. Speaking The Hindu on Saturday during his department’s inspection in Rajahmundry, Mr. Aravinda Rao, who served as Intelligence Chief for many years said that they are speeding up the pending cases like Yelugubanti Suryanarayana’s case and taking up fresh cases . Mr. Aravinda Rao while replying to a question admitted that some of the charges framed by them are being withdrawn at penultimate stage . He also admitted that weeding out corruption from public life is not an easy task and his department is facing lack of strength like some other departments for enforcement. He called upon the public and media to give viable and right information to them to trap corrupt officials. DSP Ramachandra Rao, Inspectors Raghuveera Reddy and Muali were also with DG.
