BEML wins award

Bangalore: BEML has won the Raksha Mantri Award for its export performance in 2007-08. The award was presented to BEML Chairman and Managing Director V.R.S. Natarajan on Friday in New Delhi. BEML’s export performance was adjudged to be the best among defence public sector companies. The company’s value of exports was Rs. 200 crore, an increase of 81 per cent over the previous year. Its exports in 2008-09 were estimated at Rs. 304.34 crore, an increase of 50 per cent over the previous year. — Special Correspondent
