Special trains to Bangalore

PALAKKAD: The Southern Railway will run special trains weekly between Ernakulam and Bangalore.

A Railway release said Train No. 0675 Ernakulam–Bangalore Special will leave Ernakulam Junction at 6.50 p.m. on Mondays between November 16 and January 18 next.

It will arrive at Bangalore City at 8.30 a.m. the next day. Train No. 0676 Bangalore–Ernakulam Special will leave Bangalore City at 5.15 p.m. on Tuesdays between November 17 and January 19 next and arrive at Ernakulam Junction at 4.20 a.m. the next day.

The special trains will have 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class, 3 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The trains will halt at Aluva, Trichur, Palakkad, Podanur, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Tirupattur, Kuppam, Bangarapet, Whitefield, Krishnarajapuram and Bangalore Cantt.

Train No. 0677 Ernakulam–Bangalore Special will leave Ernakulam Junction at 9.15 p.m. on Thursdays between November 19 and January 21 next and arrive at Bangalore City at 10 a.m. the next day. Train No.0678 Bangalore– Ernakulam Special will leave Bangalore City at 6.50 p.m. on Fridays between November 20 and January 22 next and arrive at Ernakulam Junction at 6.30 a.m. the next day.

The trains will have 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 7 sleeper class, 2 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

It will halt at Aluva, Trichur, Palakkad, Podanur, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Tirupattur, Kuppam, Bangarapet, Whitefield, Krishnarajapuram and Bangalore Cantt. Reservation for the trains will begin on November 8, the release said.
