Owls theft: worker to be sacked

Thrissur: Director of the Museums and Zoos Department P. Vijayakumari Amma has issued order to dismiss a temporary employee of Thrissur Zoo in connection with theft of two barn owls from the zoo on Wednesday.

Report in 15 days

The Director has also ordered for a departmental inquiry into the incident. Zoo Department Education Director K. Gangadharan has been asked to inquire and submit a report in 15 days. With the decision to sack the temporary employee Radhakrishnan, the Thrissur Zoo will have only two security guards.
