Tuticorin
service: NSS volunteers donating blood in Tuticorin on Saturday. Tuticorin: A blood donation camp was organised by the NSS unit of the Fisheries College and Research Institute, Tuticorin, in association with the primary health centre, Pudukottai, on its premises here on Saturday. The Dean in-Charge, J. Daniel Jameson, inaugurated the camp. A total of 37 NSS volunteers from the institute donated blood. A team of doctors, led by Shanthi, Medical Officer of the blood bank, Thoothukudi Medical College Hospital, supervised the exercise. During the camp, students’ weight, age, health status and their blood groups were also checked before they donated blood. G.Sugumar, Professor and NSS Programme Officer, FCRU, coordinated the programme.
