DHARMAPURI: Deputy Chief Minister Stalin will inaugurate various development schemes, lay foundation stone to new schemes, issue revolving funds to SHGs and financial assistance to the tune of Rs. 118.32 crores at a government function in Pennagaram in Dharmapuri district on Sunday, Collector P. Amutha said here on Saturday. Development worksShe told reporters that Mr. Stalin would lay stones for 747 new development works to the tune of Rs. 56.76 crores through Rural Development, Highways, PWD (Construction Wing), PWD (Water Resources Organisation), Sarva Siksha Abiyan, TWAD Board (Rural Drinking Water Schemes), Agricultural Engineering. He would also inaugurate 305 new buildings and works implemented at a cost of Rs. 29.82 crore through various departments. Besides these he would also issue welfare assistance to 55,221 beneficiaries to the tune of Rs. 32.74 crore through Revenue, Social Welfare and other government departments. HousesHouses constructed in Paruvadhanapalli Panchayat on Pennagaram Union at a cost of Rs. 1.59-crore would also be handed over to 100 beneficiaries. In addition to that he will distribute Rs. 7.80-crore as revolving fund to 1300 women Self Help Groups. In the evening, he would dedicate the indoor stadium constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.04-crore at the district sports stadium in Dharmapuri, Ms. Amutha said. Public meetingLater, the Deputy Chief Minister would address a public meeting at Harur to mark the Arignar Anna’s Centenary Celebrations. He would stay at the TTDC Motel in Krishnagiri on Sunday night and leave for Vellore on Monday morning, party sources here said.
