BHUBANESWAR: The capital is gearing up for the annual Rajdhani Book Fair at the Exhibition Grounds in the heart of the city from November 28. Into its 10th edition this year, it is the second biggest event of its kind after the 25-year-old Bhubaneswar Book Fair that is being hosted by a body of writers. Spread over 12 days, it will have above 200 stalls showcasing a wide range of publishing houses from all over the country, according to its organisers. There will be books in several Indian languages and English, while a section of the fair will be earmarked for the Oriya language publications. Educational publishers have been requested to showcase a wide range of study material for students in view of the large-scale educational institutions that the city houses. The principal attraction of the fair this year will be a stall being put up by Sri Jagannath Temple Trust of Puri. It will replicate the temple and exhibit all the publications -- both books and journals -- besides CDs and photographs of the trust. The fair will remain open for the public daily from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the 12-day event will include a number of literary and cultural activities like poetry recitation sessions, release of books and literary discussions.
