Health concerns: Capt. C. Vijayabhaskar flagging off a cancer awareness bicycle rally in Kadapa on Saturday. KADAPA: NCC cadets studying in various colleges staged a cancer awareness bicycle rally here under the auspices of 30 Andhra National Cadet Corps (NCC) Battalion on Saturday. Capt. C. Vijayabhaskar, who flagged off the rally, exhorted the youth to keep vices at bay as smoking could cause cancer. Boy and girl NCC cadets participated in the rally. Commanding Officer Col. Attar Singh, Subedar Sobhan Babu and Havaldars Narsi Naidu, Maruthi and Sridhar Reddy participated. Moral supportKurnool Correspondent adds: NCC cadets of Silver Jubilee College took out the cancer awareness rally here on Saturday. NCC commanding Officer Col Vivek Aire flagged off the rally and appreciated the cadets for the gesture. Col. Vivek asked them to take up campaign infusing confidence among cancer patients and prepare the society to give them moral and material support to the cancer victims. College Principal T.G.R. Prasad, NCC Associate Officer Venugopal and others were present.
