Special Correspondent

VILLUPURAM: Collector R. Palanisamy has called for applications from educated unemployed candidates who are seeking government assistance for the quarter starting from October 1, 2009.

In a statement issued here, he noted that those who had completed schooling or higher studies and registered with Employment Office and duly renewed their enrolments for the past five years (as on September 30 2009) were eligible to get dole.

Another pre-condition for availing of the benefit was that the annual income of the candidate’s family should not exceed Rs. 24,000. On production of the proof of registration, the candidates could obtain the prescribed application forms from the Employment Office during this month on all working days from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
