GUNTUR: A workshop on AJAX was conducted by the Sankalpa Software Solutions, Hyderabad, at P.N.C & KR College at Narasaraopet, to bring awareness among MCA and M.Sc. (CS) students on this novel web technology. Interactive applicationsCompany representative B. Anil Kumar delivering the keynote address said AJAX was shorthand for asynchronous Java Script + XML and is a group of interrelated web development techniques used on the client-side to create interactive web applications. With AJAX, web applications one can retrieve data from the server asynchronously in the background without interfering with the display and behaviour of the existing page. The use of AJAX techniques had led to an increase in interactive or dynamic interfaces on web pages, he pointed out while telling students about the AJAX design patrons, different elements of HTML headers and advantages of AJAX usage in web page development. Live examplesHe also participated in live examples of web page development process and gave some exercises to students for development of web pages with AJAX. They were trained on development of the webpages with security and also taught the easy tips in development of web pages. College Principal J.V. Srinivasa Rao, MBA Director M.S. Narayana and Head of Department of Computer Sciences SV.N. Srinivasu, were present. Some 250 students of the college meticulously followed all the instructions.
