NEW DELHI: Four new meet records were set on the concluding day of the National inter-district athletics championships at Haridwar on Saturday. Paranas district of West Bengal topped the medals tally with three gold, two silver and a bronze. Azamgarh of Uttar Pradesh got three gold and a silver to finish second. Tiruchirapalli (Tamil Nadu), which bagged three gold medals, was third. The results (winners only): Boys: U-16: 400m: S. Gowtham 53.10; 1500m: Rajinder Singh 4:09.17 (NMR, previous 4:11.14); 100m hurdles: A. Dinakaran 14.48; Discus: Naveen 45.08m (NMR, previous 41.97m). U-14: 60m: Shahrukh Azad 7.55 (NMR, previous 7.63); 200m: Shahrukh Azad 24.43; High jump: Ajay 1.79m (NMR, previous 1.78m). Girls: U-16: 400m: Jaya Khati 1:02.20; 100m hurdles: Tanjila Khatun 17.22; U-14: 60m: Sujata Nag 8.54; 200m: Gouri Rani Hansda 29.07.
