Hammond scores winner

Mumbai: Ghana’s Abel Hammond struck the winning goal for East Bengal against Air India in the I-League football match at the Cooperage here on Saturday.

Hammond scored in the 30th minute and was declared the ‘man of the match’.

It was the second win for the Kolkata side in the 2009-10 league and its first win against a Mumbai side at the Cooperage in six years. — Special Correspondent
