Chennai: Incessant rain has led to the postponement of the fifth and final round of the FMSCI-Rolon National Racing Championship, which was scheduled to be held here on Sunday. The tentative dates for the round are December 26 and 27. However, the Honda One Make races, a parallel event held alongside the Rolon championship, will go ahead as scheduled. Going into the final round, A. Prabhu leads the Honda One Make championship, 19 points ahead of Ren Johnson in second. So far, four rounds of the One Make races have been held in Coimbatore and Chennai in the event’s first full season. The races, which feature Honda’s 125 and 150cc bikes, have attracted over 250 participants. Speaking at a press meet here on Saturday, N.K. Rattan, Operation Head, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said a majority of the participants were first-timers. “Only around 30-40 of them had any previous experience,” he said. — Sports Reporter
