Chandigarh: President Pratibha Patil has postponed her proposed visit to Amritsar following a request by Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who is hospitalised after falling sick, an official release said here on Saturday. The President was scheduled to arrive in Amritsar on November 9 at the request of the Bathinda MP to promote environmental cause and movement against female foeticide. PTI
