SALEM: Periyar University organised a seminar on Creative Literature of K. Vezhaventhan, chairman of Ariviyal Tamil Mandram, here recently. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vezhaventhan called upon the student community to take more interest in learning Tamil literature. AwarenessMore students should come forward to learn Tamil language and spread awareness among people on its rich literary heritage, he added. Encourage peopleThere should be more efforts in the State to encourage people to study Tamil and understand its richness, Mr. Vezhaventhan stressed. Tamil scholars and professors spoke on the literary works of Mr. Vezhaventhan. University Registrar S. Gunasekaran presided. Dharmapuri MP Thamaraiselvan, Head, Department of Tamil, P. Mathaian, faculty members and students were present.
