MYSORE: The Bhagavad Gita, the sacred text revered by Hindus, was launched in the form of a gold pendant at the Tanishq store here on Saturday. Said to be the world’s smallest Gita, the pendant with the text inscribed on it can be seen under a 20x microscope. All 18 chapters of the Gita with 700 shlokas are inscribed in 24K gold on the 1 cm x 1 cm square tablet. It took six years for Pawan Sinha, associate professor of neuroscience at MIT, U.S. to design the pendant. The pendants are available in different weights and they cost between Rs. 9,999 to Rs. 15,500.
