New unit at Technopark

Thiruvananthapuram: ACIS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Allianz Insurance Plc., U.K., opened its third facility on the Technopark campus here on Thursday.

British Deputy Commissioner Mike Nithavrianakis and CEO of Allianz Insurance, U.K., Andrew Torrance inaugurated the unit.

The first phase will accommodate 250 employees and will primarily be used for application development and maintenance projects. The unit employs green design concepts such as sustainable environment-friendly material and energy-efficient fixtures.

Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander, Director, IT and Offshore Operations, Allianz Insurance, U.K., John Knowles and COO, ACIS, Rakesh Gupta were present on the occasion.
