‘DNA chips with genetic coding of humans soon’

MYSORE: New personalised DNA chips containing the entire genetic coding of a human being are on their way to the market. This was disclosed by U.R. Rao, Chairman, Physical Research Laboratory Governing Council, Department of Space. He said in the next two decades, practically every product we use would incorporate tiny microchips. He added that Micro Electronics Mechanical Sensors have revolutionalised the optical communication market and nanotechnology was already on its way to becoming a major force.
