Vidyaranyapura bags title
BANGALORE: Vidyaranyapura lifted the 12th BCYA State Level hockey tournament for ‘B’ and ‘C’ division teams with a 3-2 win over HMT.
Vidyaranyapura side won thanks to a extra time goal by Samson after the two sides were locked 2-2.
Samson put the winners in the lead in the eighth minute before Anil (26th) and Kirti (39th) gave HMT the lead. Bhengra however equalised for Vidyaranyapura in the 52nd minute.
Special prizes: Best upcoming team: DYSS. Best goalkeeper: Javed (Leo HC). Super goal of the tournament: Pallani Kumar (Vidyaranyapura). Player of the tournament: Aditya (HMT).
