Whatmore to coach Knight Riders
KOLKATA: Knight Riders on Friday reappointed former India captain Sourav Ganguly as captain for the Indian Premier League season III in 2010 while naming Dav Whatmore as its new coach.
Ganguly replaced New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum and Whatmore came in place of John Buchanan. Delhi Ranji team coach Vijay Dahiya will be Whatmore’s assistant.
The team management retained the services of Andrew Leipus and Adrian le Roux as physiotherapist and trainer respectively. Pakistani pace legend Wasim Akram was appointed the mentor of the side some time back. — Special Correspondent
