BEML secures Rs. 185 crore order

BANGALORE: BEML has bagged the order for supply of walking draglines to the Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), valued at Rs.185 crore. The order includes consumable spares for three years. Draglines are used in opencast mines. The equipment is to be manufactured at BEML’s facility at Kolar Gold Fields and is due to be commissioned in July 2011. —Special Correspondent
