The President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, has sent a message to President Eisenhower welcoming him to India on behalf of his Government and the people. The following is the message: “It has given me much pleasure to learn that you have been able to accept our invitation to visit India. My Government and the people of India have long been hoping for such a visit and are happy that they will have the opportunity of welcoming you and showing you their affection and regard”.
