SALEM: Agriculture Minister Veerapandi S. Arumugam thanked Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation (Independent charge) Praful Patel for taking efforts to commence flight services from Salem to Chennai. The Kingfisher Airlines is expected to commence flight operations from Salem Airport from November 15. Mr. Arumugam said that it was a long felt demand of the people and business community in Salem and neighbouring districts to have flight services from Salem. He thanked Mr. Praful Patel for fulfilling the demand. Kingfisher Airlines had announced the commencement of the flight services from Salem to Chennai. The first flight would leave Chennai at 2.50 p.m. and arrive Salem Airport at 3.50 p.m. The flight would leave Salem at 4.20 p.m. and arrive at Chennai at 5.20 p.m. Mr. Arumugam, on behalf of the people of Salem, requested the Minister to inaugurate the flight service
