Traffic violators booked

VIJAYAWADA: The traffic wing of the city police registered 153 cases against the violators of road rules across the city and levied a fine of Rs. 19,250 on them. As part of implementing the resolutions passed by the Traffic Advisory Committee, the police removed encroachments from the roadside in One-Town area, registered 14 cases and collected Rs. 1,600. In Two-Town area they registered 35 cases and collected Rs. 5,200 in the form of fines. In Three-Town, the number of cases were 53 and the fine collected was Rs. 5,950, whereas in the Four-Town the police registered 32 cases collected a fine of Rs. 6,500.
