HYDERABAD: Top-seeded Jishnu Vakaria of Gujarati Seva Mandal and V. Vaisali of Anantapur won the cadet boys’ and girls singles’ titles respectively in the AWASA State-ranking table tennis tournament which concluded here on Tuesday. AWASA handed over Rs. 2,000 each to the members of the Andhra Pradesh team which secured second position in the National-level table tennis tournament held in Vijayawada last year. The team members were: K. Spoorthy (Vijayawada), S. Akshi (GSM), T. L. Harshita (AWASA) and Saira Banu (Vijayawada). High Court Judge Justice G. Bhavani Prasad gave away the prizes. The results: All finals: Men: P. Vighnay Reddy (SPTTA) bt Deepesh Singh (Postal) 11-8, 11-7, 10-12, 10-12, 11-7, 11-7. Cadet boys: Jishnu Vakaria (GSM) bt V.
