What is an AD syringe?

This is a syringe that is automatically rendered unusable after having delivered a prescribed dose of vaccine. These syringes are designed in such a way that the plunger gets locked when the injection is given to make the syringe inoperable for reuse. Healthcare experts advise that conventional syringes be broken into two as their reuse can spread diseases such as HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B.
