BANGALORE: The city police kept a vigil on the movement of people and vehicles in the city following a reported intelligence alert about a possible terror strike.
The Indian Navy’s intelligence wing is reported to have alerted about attacks by Lashkar-e-Taiba in Bangalore, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
A senior official from the Bangalore police said they have increased the security checks at the City Railway Station, Kempegowda Bus Terminus and other important locations. Even two-wheelers and four-wheelers were stopped and checked by the police. The alert sent by the Indian Navy was a part of routine information received by the police, the official said.
