German national robbed

NEW DELHI: A German Embassy employee was robbed of jewellery and cash at his house in Ghitorni here in the early hours of Tuesday.

Duske works with the German Embassy as an accountant and lives with his wife, a son and a daughter on rent in a farmhouse. The family was sleeping when four robbers, one of them carrying a firearm, entered the farmhouse by scaling the wall and overpowered the guard.

At gunpoint, the four woke up the victims and confined them to a room.

They collected the jewellery and about Rs.25,000 in cash kept in the house and decamped with the booty. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case and are trying to identify the robbers.
